Now, first I must tell you this is NOT AN RV park though they call themselves such… this is a TRAILORPARK… No question about it. There are travel trailers here that have been here for 15 years + and that will never leave here on wheels. Most of the “seasonals” AKA long term folks, have decks built and full yard landscaping… no kidding… as “full” as one can be for a trailer park. Now, I have nothing against trailer parks, I have family that lives in them or has most of their lives but I DON’T want to camp in one.
We arrived midday Thursday and set up our site. It is really pretty despite being a trailer park. There are lots of trees and plenty of shade. The weather was perfect too, mid 70-80’s slight breeze and no humidity!! We are in site #43 and it isn’t too bad, considering. We are, however, backed up with full viewing pleasure of the Hay-wagon-ride pavilion where they are having some kind of Yankee redneck “wolf’s howl” old fashioned carnival… Yes, there are rednecks up here! TRUST ME… It should be exciting to watch from INSIDE the RV.
Everything here has a fee associated with it to include showers! Granted it is only a quarter to shower but the shower isn’t worth that much! No way to regulate the temperature and the pressure was a trickle if you were lucky and showered with no one else showering at the same time. My last shower, I had to add a second quarter for 7 minutes just to get the soap off me. No kidding, I stood under a shower for 7 minutes and barely got the soap off my body! Merely trickles of water fall. I couldn’t tell if I was rinsed or not.
Directv wouldn’t connect nor would wifi so I am not happy. Then again, it is a trailer park.
No way in hell would we return here! No way!! The area is amazing though. There are lots of things to see and wonderful little shops and cafes as well a neat ferry to cross the river but staying in this RV “trailer park” not gonna happen again. Trailer park rating, I Don’t have one for that but for an RV campground. 2 on a scale of 1-10
